Yoga and Meditation - Change that is irreversible by Jiten Bardwaj

People everywhere are fighting their own selves and each other to prove the supremacy of one man-made system or another of politics, religion, philosophy, what-have-you.

The ultimate truth, reality or whatever is as much noticeable as a herd of elephants.

Theories, pills and prisons abound to try to enhance, contain the deluge, all to no avail. In the lulls between the skirmishes, wars and cease-fires, the high priests of the systems- politicians, media mediums, life experts – tell us they have brought us peace and 0.1nano% tax rebate, but there is no peace in our heads and hearts.

It is possible to live a life that is whole, full of love and beauty and is ever new. No, it is not as a celeb, this or that idol, big brother and their off-shoots. This change, and it is irreversible, cannot be brought about by slogans, do’s and don’ts, nor by re-arranging the jigsaws of any system or by a third party.

We are part of the whole world, the Kosmos no less.

The moment the ego-centre is still, without any force or trickery, is the instant of enlightenment, of peace and of being one with the ultimate reality, truth, love …

The understanding then begins to be effortlessly deeper and higher, free of all conditioning and deadweights we carry around. This spells the end of conflict within, sorrow, -isms and the self as centre-piece. Watching inwards, without praise or recrimination, is the only step in this instant revolution. Therefore, it is possible for everyone to be a messiah, a prophet in an instant, for an instant.

Life is then full of love and enjoyment until the last bugle call when the cosmic dance drama will start again.

When the mind and the watcher are indivisible, (“You are that”, to translate a Sanskrit observation of extraordinary insight and depth), there is then the beginning of genetic change, to re-orientate one’s genes. This burns out the sorrow, worry, anger and associated corrosive cells. This is the essence, nectar of yoga and meditation.

A psychologically free person is wholly in tune with the cosmos, absolute with the divine, truth, reality; at one with life and death. Om Shanti.
