Mature Politics and Vedic Maths
If you would like to see a more mature approach to local governance, with people from all sides working together, then this is what I stand for.
I am not a politician of any hue, my label is Yoga & Meditation along with Vedic Maths but nowadays the authorities do not permit such description for free. My Indian kith & kin with valour second to none, proved by being awarded nearly 40 Victoria Cross, they put their lives on the line for Britain in the years and years of its desperate need in both world wars. Not to mention providing food and resources.
Yoga and Vedic Maths are profound insights of Indian sages and seers over countless centuries to the present day.
Family life is central, it starts with mum giving gentle yoga massage to her baby lying on her outstretched legs. At primary school the child will learn Vedic Maths – a striking, magical enhancement to the "decimal system and the zero"- the previous “made in India” gifts to humankind. And being vegetarian is good for guts.
Vedic Maths
88 X 98 = 8624
Two methods:.
Base: 100
88 is 12 below 100 and 98 is 2 below 100
88 - 12
x 98 - 02
The 86 in the answer comes from subtracting crosswise: 88 - 02 = 86 (or 98 - 12 = 86: it is the same-different).
And the 24 in the answer is just 12 x 2: multiply vertically. So 88 x 98 = 8624
103 x 104 = 10712
The answer is in two parts: 107 and 12, 107 is just 103 + 4 (or 104 + 3),
and 12 is just 3 x 4.
Similarly 107 x 106 = 11342
107 + 6 = 113 and 7 x 6 = 42
The 2nd method to multiply is Vertically and Crosswise, e.g
23 x 14 is
1st step: 3 X 4 = 2 carry 1
2nd step: (2 X 4) + (3 X 1) + 1 = 2 carry 1
3rd step: (2 X 1) + 1 = 3, the Answer = 322
A quick way to square numbers that end in 5 using the formula BY ONE MORE THAN THE ONE BEFORE.
752 = 5625
The answer is in two parts: 56 and 25.
The last part is always 25.
The first part is the first number, 7, multiplied by the number "one more", which is 8:
so 7 x 8 = 56
Similarly 852 = 7225 because 8 x 9 = 72.
Method for multiplying numbers where the first digits are the same and the last digits add up to 10.
32 x 38 = 1216
Both numbers here start with 3 and the last digits (2 and 8) add up to 10.
So we just multiply 3 by 4 (the next number up) to get 12 for the first part of the answer.
And we multiply the last figures: 2 x 8 = 16 to get the last part of the answer.
81 x 89 = 7209
We put 09 since we need two figures as in all the other examples.
21 x 23 = 483
This is normally called long multiplication but actually the answer can be written straight down using the VERTICALLY AND CROSSWISE sutra.
